Yoga will develop the shoulder stability necessary for a devolved snatch, overhead squat, and jerk. It can enhance balance and flexibility for handstand pushups, as well as the hamstring flexibility to maintain proper positioning of a pistol or strong deadlift stance. We talk about developing body awareness with our lifts and movements, to feel when your elbows are high and outside, or your overhead position is strong and locked out. Through the yoga poses, exact body placement is strengthened. Consequently, through the regular practice of yoga, you will learn how to achieve balance, flexibility, strength and focus of the body and mind.
